today I have some mind-blowing plugins
for Adobe Illustrator and they’re all totally free also at the very end of
today’s video I have an outstanding plugin for Photoshop as well so guys do
stay tuned so yeah today’s plugins are all totally free and they’re compatible
with illustrator apart from the very last one now you must have a Creative
Cloud account to install these plugins and I’m gonna show you how to install
them and how to use each of the plugins in today’s video anyway the first
plug-in is an automated isometric action which is gonna blow your mind
so like I said you do need to have a Creative Cloud account to download these
plugins in today’s video and so once you’ve logged in the download should
automatically process and you can see that here with the notification each
download has a slightly different method of installing depending on the kind of
plugin but not to worry because it says exactly how to install and locate the
plugins right here so for the first plug-in today you need to open up the
actions window and then load actions locating the source file is easy and
then I just hit OK this isometric plug-in is really really awesome you
need to design the top the left and also the right hand side of your ISO metric
design in a flat form and then select each section and play the action by
clicking the play button in the actions panel this is a quick way to make
isometry designs and it’s totally free actually I’m gonna go back and make one
of the sites darker to make the illusion of shadow on one side of my design so
yeah that was the isometric plugin for illustrator but let’s move on to the
next one now this plug-in is compatible with Photoshop and InDesign but also
illustrator now I’ve mentioned before in this channel about a stock image website
called unsplash and in my opinion it has the best quality selection of stock
imagery that is for free right now what this plugin allows you to have a window
directly into illustrator or Photoshop where you can search and download images
straight into the program now if you want to learn how to use any downloads
today click view my exchange and here you can see the path to find the plugin
for use now for each plug-in to work after installation we need to close and
restart illustrator so I’m going to go ahead and do that right now now remember
if you like these plugins today let me know and I might buy some of the
versions that aren’t free because there are some really good ones out there on
this website so now illustrator has been restarted in
a new document I’m gonna head into the extensions window and locate the stock
photo plugin now skip this section here and then give
a search in the toolbar it’s plug in taps directly into unsplash and you can
download imagery directly into Photoshop Illustrator or InDesign now this is a
useful plugin I feel and it’s 100% free so do go ahead and download it for your
very own workflow the third plug-in today is a quick one
Phyllis traitor and that’s a set of brushes that can offer the effect of a
vectorized hair so with a pencil I’m just making a stroke path here and then
all you need to do is simply click one of the brushes in the brushes menu the
hair can’t be adjusted as you see fit and changing the stroke width will
change the hair as you can see here this is a quick a free and a neat little
plugin that you can make use of the next free edition is compatible with
illustrator but we’re going to use Photoshop just for demonstration
purposes I do have one more after this plug-in that is really really
mind-blowing but for this fourth one it’s another
stock image website integration but you can actually search for imagery vectors
and video again it’s neat and handy to have this kind of directory integrated
into Adobe software this is good because you don’t have to keep switching up
windows between a browser and illustrator or Photoshop it’s also
pretty neat because it has vectors too which is quite handy for illustrator
especially so I did say the last plugin is really
really awesome and that’s because for free you can install a pathfinder option
into Photoshop now this is something we all use a lot in Illustrator but of
course this plugin it gives you the option in Photoshop by working with
these two shapes we can see that we have access to the four main Pathfinder
functions those being merged – front intersect and exclude last time I
checked for the shop doesn’t have this built-in but didn’t let me know if it
recently has and I am in fact wrong so there were five free plugins and I did
sky with this website and these are probably the best ones you can get for
free so yet do let me know if you want me to research and download some of the
paid versions to review on my channel here at satori of ethics and if you do
want to keep learning essential skills picking up goodies and freebies like
today’s video do subscribe to my channel for weekly graphic design content and of
course until next time guys design your future today peace

The stock photo plugin is definitely useful. This will save me time from going back and forth between Safari and PS and AI

Thanks again for the ever-helpful information. It's all about improving one's workflow to work smarter and not harder and these will definitely help.

As a side note, I hope that everyone is healthy and safe amidst these crazy (and surreal) times. Personally, I have been using this time to up my skills as a Brand Strategist and designer by going over your videos and replicating what you teach. I always thought I was pretty decent with Illustrator. Your teachings have elevated my game considerably. In fact, I make it a point to all of my designer friends to follow your channel due to the awesome content you provide. There is paid content that is not as impactful as yours which is a testament to your good nature and knowledge.

    I thank you, kind sir.

Photoshop does have pathfinder build in. Its available on the top bar when the pen tool is selected. as default you will see an icon of two squares, names "Combined Shapes". but the window plug is cool though.

Hey Tom, this is Stefano – one of the developers of StockSolo. Just an update: we just added Pexels to the libraries we support (and Pixabay is waiting for approval). Also, for those that don't have a CC account, they can follow these instructions to install StockSolo: https://redokun.com/blog/stocksolo#installation-problems
